Ranji, Keith and Anne owe a HUGE debt of thanks to four Cornish Churches who are committed to making a difference in the lives of Zambian children. Because of the imaginative ideas and hard work of caring people, over 400 children can now go to school. They have food, clothes, homes and love.
Their actions say, "Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope."
Carclaze Methodist Chapel
The folk at Carclaze Chapel have had a heart for Ebenezer's work since the very beginning in March 2005, when they helped to pay off the mortgage on the first building Ebenezer ever owned - Ebenezer Primary School. They raise money through their Summer Fayre and other events and were excited to meet Ranji in March 2009 on her first visit to Cornwall.
Fowey Parish Church
Fowey Parish Church have been supporting Friends of Ebenezer Child Care for many years. They have invited us to speak on several occasions and have come up with some exciting fundraising events. Here we can see photos of a Fashion Show and of a fun-filled Victorian Evening.
Holy Trinity Church, St. Austell
Leek Seed Methodist Chapel
Keith and Anne worship at Holy Trinity Church which has been hugely encouraging and supportive over the last few years. Besides giving financial aid to Ebenezer in Zambia, it also aids other African projects in Kenya and Tanzania.
Leek Seed Chapel is where Keith grew up and where he and Anne were married. Also their close friend, Avril Grigg , and her husband, Colin, have a leading role in this church. Avril is the third trustee of the charity, "Friends of Ebenezer Child Care," and not only organised a wonderful concert with the Gunningham family singers at the Chapel, but is a great help in any events we arrange.
